The Report analyzed 1,007 global cities through comprehensive indexes in many respects, and further ranked the cities by their Economic Competitiveness Index and Sustainable Competitiveness Index, two indicators which stand for a city’s present condition and future condition. In terms of ranking by Economic Competitiveness, Hong Kong was ranked 12th, Shanghai 14th, Beijing 20th, and Taipei 47th; in terms of ranking by Sustainable Competitiveness, Beijing was ranked 11th, Hong Kong 13th, Shanghai 27th, and Taipei 57th. The Central District is Hong Kong’s business and political center, and is also the premier destination for many major banks, international financial institutions and foreign consulates. At the mean time, the district is also the transportation hub of Hong Kong, a meeting point of for MTR lines, including the Airport Express; and it also connects people from the Central to Kowloon or other outlying islands with a quick ferry ride. Located in the center of Shanghai, Huangpu District is the head of Shanghai’s 16 districts. Not only is it the oldest urban area in Shanghai, but also the modern commercial center, and a combination of the east and west’s culture. There are many famous attractions in the area, such as the Shanghai Bund and Yu Garden, and its west borders Jingan District, a commercial and business district. In such a Huangpu district, there are many possibilities, not only is it a commercial and touristic area, it is a place where people can experience both eastern and western style.     北京-東城區 歷史悠久的北京城，以位於北京市中心城區東部的東城區是北京文物古蹟最為集中的區域，擁有16處國家級文物保護單位，60處市級文物保護單位。東城區於2010年由前東城區及崇文區組合而成，區內有許多世界知名的歷史景點，是人們至北京旅遊定會一探究竟的地點，包括天安門、故宮、天壇等。一個從周初便存在的城市，歷經中國歷史上各個朝代的變遷，一路形成今天的北京東城區，哪怕只是走在城中的小巷裡，也能感受到悠久的歷史韻味和文化，融合現代社會形成專屬於北京的獨特景色。   Dongcheng District, Beijing   Beijing is a city with much history, and where Dongcheng District locates is the most concentrated area for cultural relics and historic sites in Beijing; it owns 16 units of major historical and cultural sites protected at the national level and 60 at the state level. Dongcheng District was built in 2010 by merging the former Chongwen District. Spring in February and March are the traditional season for flowers, like cherry blossoms and rhododendrons, in Yangming Park, and people goes to the National Park during spring and summer to hike or for picnics. As one wanders down the town’s alley, it is as if he/she is involved in the history, forming all kinds of imagination of how lives were past, allowing travelers to temporarily forget the reality, only enjoying what is placed before them. Antique street view, well preserved historic buildings accompanied by the sound of boats crossing the river, every details of Zhujiajiao revealed a strong sense of the Chinese culture. In the 1950s, aided by the Soviet Union, East Germany designed and built an industrial complex in Beijing. Later, due to the decline of the factory area, the 798 factory attracted many artists’ studios and contemporary art institutions to gather in 2002 due to the low rents, and forming an artistic community, what is now known as the 798 Art Zone.
