Murray and Holladay are located in the central part of the Salt Lake Valley. Murray is home to Murray Park, which is a popular summertime destination for thousands of residents. The Jordan River Parkway winds its way through the city as well, providing ample hiking and biking opportunities, and the Salt Lake County Ice Center offers year-round, indoor skating. Nearby, Wheeler Historic Farm preserves life on a turn-of-the-century dairy farm. Holladay was the first village established outside of Salt Lake City, making it the oldest continuously inhabited city in Utah. A proposed outdoor mall is in the planning stages, with Murray City Council examining issues related to preservation of open space. Holladay hosts a number of arts events year-round. Holladay Park and the Lions Recreation Center are popular attractions. Forbes magazine has ranked Utah the No. 1 state for business four out of the last five years. Salt Lake County is the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, Real Salt Lake of the MLS, University of Utah Pac-12 athletics, and was the host of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
