what if luxury was measured not by how much space we occupy, but by the freedom that space affords us
on the atlantic shoreline of nova scotia's south shore, 325 long cove road offers a compelling answer. here, contemporary architecture, thoughtful design and an extraordinary connection to the ocean come together in a residence that challenges conventional ideas of what makes a home exceptional.
set on approximately half an acre with direct ocean frontage, this 756 sq. ft. residence is an exercise in considered simplicity. designed and built by nova scotia-based lloyoll prefabs as part of its distinctive salti collection, the home reflects an approach to architecture where proportion, natural materials and connection to the landscape take precedence over scale.
inside, expansive glazing draws the atlantic into daily life. elevated ceilings, warm wood finishes and a restrained palette create an atmosphere of understated sophistication. a beautifully appointed kitchen with bosch appliances and quartz surfaces opens to the cathedral-style living area and the ocean beyond.
the ocean-facing primary suite includes a private ensuite, while a second room offers flexibility as an office or guest accommodation with a concealed murphy bed. two sleeping lofts provide additional accommodation, with a third dedicated to storage. every square foot has a purpose, yet nothing feels compromised.
beyond the interior, a covered oceanfront terrace with automated screens becomes an extension of the living space, while a covered breezeway connects the residence to a detached double garage. an outdoor shower completes the experience of days spent swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding along the shoreline.
but perhaps the greatest luxury here is the freedom the property affords. arrive for a week, a month or an entire season. settle into the rhythms of the coast without the demands of maintaining a sprawling estate. and when it's time to leave, simply close the door, knowing this remarkable place will be waiting for your return.
here, luxury is measured in time reclaimed, in the simplicity of coming and going, and in the rare pleasure of having everything you need without the burden of more.
long cove is not an exercise in having more. it is an expression of living exceptionally well with precisely what matters.
