Cawston, nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s Similkameen Valley, is one of Canada’s most distinctive wine regions. Known for its rugged terrain, intense sunlight, and dry desert climate, the area produces bold, terroir-driven wines with remarkable structure and minerality. Often described as “Canada’s organic farming capital,” Cawston is home to a high concentration of certified organic vineyards and small, family-run wineries. The Similkameen’s combination of ancient riverbeds, rocky soils, and dramatic mountain backdrops creates not only exceptional wines, but an authentic and quietly sophisticated wine country experience.
