Wattana District
The Wattana or Vadhana district is one of Bangkok's 50 districts. Princess Galyani Vadhana gave the district its name. Watthana or Vadhana means 'development'. The neighborhood is one of Bangkok's most developed. Watthana, which encompasses the region between Sukhumvit Road and Khlong Saen Saep, is one of Bangkok's commercial areas, featuring several condominiums and hotels where many expatriates live. Wattana is a quiet residential neighborhood with a thriving art scene. The American School of Bangkok's Sukhumvit campus, Anglo Singapore International School's Anglo campus, Ekamai International School, NIST International School, and Wells International Kindergarten's Thong Lor campus are all located in the Watthana District. |

The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew
The iconic Grand Palace, located in the middle of the city, is one of the most famous attractions to see in Bangkok. This historic house of Rattanakosin Kingdom’s King Rama currently holds royal ceremonies and enriching tours for all types of travelers. Get a peek of the king's royal life as well as the splendor Temple of the Emerald Buddha or Wat Phra Kaew, which is also located here. The Emerald Buddha journeyed for centuries across Southeast Asia, from India and Sri Lanka to Cambodia and Laos, before settling here at the Grand Palace. It was one of King Rama I's most prized possessions. |

Chao Phraya River

R.HAAN, an exquisite restaurant committed to traditional Thai-style shared eating but with a fine-dining approach, was founded by prominent Thai chef and TV personality Chumpol Jangprai in 2018. R.HAAN (pronounced "aa-harn") takes its name from the Thai word for food. The dining area is decorated with pastoral paintings and black faux stone walls. Traditional features important to a Thai home, such as antique cabinets and hanging flower garlands, fill the area to give it a feeling of authenticity.
